December 12 Mobilization
On December 12th, the world will be a little bit different than it is now. That sounds a bit dramatic but I can say that with confidence (if for no other reason than that our lovely world goes through twists and turns to make it a little different every day, even without our help).
350 Louisiana’s New Campaign: New Orleans Renewable Energy Portfolio
We all know Entergy – we get our electricity bill each month with their familiar logo on it, and usually don’t stop to think about where exactly our energy is coming from. It turns out that Entergy, which answers to the New Orleans City Council, is decommissioning two gas-fired power plants that are over 40 years old, resulting in a 300-megawatt energy gap.

Check out the photos! 350 Louisiana projected images on the side of buildings on Freret St. in New Orleans as protestors chanted and held signs urging President Obama to veto KXL! About 40 activists from Divest Tulane, Tulane Green Club, the Sierra Club, and other local groups participated in the action.
Captain Planet of 350 Louisiana arrested in #FloodWallStreet!
Captain Planet was one of approximately 100 activists arrested on Wall Street after the People’s Climate March. Wall Street is funding the climate crisis, a fact that protestors hoped to call attention to through direct action.
People’s Climate March in NYC
The Gulf Coast was represented at the People’s Climate March in NYC! 350 Louisiana and several other organizations from Louisiana marched behind the banner, #GulfCoastRising. A truly incredible experience!!
